Joined by drummer Jamey Milford and vocalist Varnam Ponville, their 1987 five-song demo quickly became a staple of the global underground tape-trading and fanzine scene.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn 1988, Scott Shelby joined as a second guitarist, giving the band a crushing, dual-guitar assault. The quintet entered Sound Logic Studios in Dallas in the summer of 1989 to record \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eVictims of Science\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. However, the dawn of the internet era sparked a renewed interest in their signature brand of “\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"il\"\u003eToxic\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Texas Thrash.”  This led to a 2005 CD reissue of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eVictims of Science \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand a brief reunion tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFollowing the tour, Perry and Shelby partnered with late Rigor Mortis vocalist Bruce Corbitt to form Texas Metal Alliance—later renamed Warbeast—releasing their debut under Phil Anselmo’s Housecore Records.
