NoLifeTilMetal Records is proud to announce Requiem of Time, the new album from melodic rock guitarist, songwriter, and recording artist Chris Manning.
Following his previous releases on NoLifeTilMetal Records, Requiem of Time continues Manning’s evolution as a guitar-driven hard rock artist with a strong sense of melody, atmosphere, and cinematic direction.
Across ten tracks, the album brings together classic hard rock influence, melodic metal energy, progressive textures, powerful vocals, and Manning’s distinctive approach to thematic guitar work. The result is an expansive record built around songs first, with the guitar serving the atmosphere, emotion, and identity of each track.
Once again, Manning teams with vocalist and co-writer Cris Hodges, whose powerful performances and melodic hooks give the album much of its vocal character.
Requiem of Time also features an exceptional group of guest musicians.
Bruce Kulick of KISS and Union appears on “Frequency,” bringing his unmistakable guitar voice to the opening track.
Legendary bassist Jimmy Haslip, whose credits include Yellowjackets, Allan Holdsworth, Tommy Bolin, and Marty Friedman, appears on the atmospheric instrumental “Ghosts of Dragon Lake.”
Dug Pinnick guests on “Fool’s Gold,” adding another distinctive musical voice to an album deeply rooted in the traditions of adventurous, guitar-based hard rock.
The record also features Rick Read on bass and keyboards, Max Saidi on drums, Tim Beamguard on acoustic guitar, Aiden Hass on select rhythm guitar, and David Downum on bass.
Produced by Chris Manning and Eric Delegard, executive produced by Bill Bafford, mixed by Eric Delegard at Reel Time Audio, and mastered by Rob Colwell, Requiem of Time represents Manning’s most expansive album to date.
From the searching, atmospheric pull of “Frequency” and “It’s About Time,” through the heavier attack of “13 Keys” and “How The Story Goes,” to the emotional weight of “Fool’s Gold,” “Goodbye to the Sorrow,” and “Higher Light,” the album moves through questions of time, truth, struggle, freedom, loss, and the search for something beyond the noise.
The album closes with Manning’s interpretation of the Ace Frehley-penned KISS classic “Strange Ways,” connecting the record back to one of the musical foundations that helped shape his life as a guitarist.

Manning’s history reaches well beyond the studio. He was featured in the December 2008 issue of Guitar Player magazine and is a founding member of The Zeppelin Project, the longest-running Led Zeppelin tribute band in Texas.
