If you don’t recognize the name Luis Cardenas, you first need to take a trip back to 1986 nearly 40 years ago back when hair Metal was king and hard rock acts ruled the charts. In 1986 Luis would release the album ‘Animal Instinct’ that would go on to become a multi platinum selling release! Garnering multiple top 10 singles like ‘Runaway’ and ‘Hungry For Your Love’. Luis was chart tipping and playing all over the world, and then stepped away from the spotlight. While he would continue to play and dabble in music throughout the years, it was in 2021 when Roxx Records would connect with Luis and form on going partnership that has proven successful and continues the ongoing legacy of the music of Luis Cardenas.
Roxx Records has been working with Brad Smith and Luis Cardenas on going for quite a few years now, releasing the Latter Reign catalog, Luis Cardenas solo albums and now we are very excited for the brand new solo album from Luis Cardenas entitled 'Stages'. This is an amazing new solo album from Luis who just keeps improving with age, fans of Latter Reign and has solo music will love the progression his musical journey has taken. "Luis and I found that working together again was very productive and fun. So, when we finished “Latter Reign II”, Luis approached me to produce his next solo album, “Stages”. I poured everything I had into helping Luis with that project. We had such a great time and I felt like that was some of the best riff writing, arrangement and performances I had ever done."
