Swedish Americana singer-songwriter Tomas Enochsson (also known as ENOK) released a tribute project honoring the pioneering legacy of Christian rock father Larry Norman.

Titled ENOK – The Outlaw – A Tribute to Songs of Larry Norman, it reinterprets Norman’s iconic, faith-driven music for a new generation. The tribute project brings a fresh Swedish Americana and roots-rock spin to Norman's catalog.

Contributors: Enochsson collaborated with Robban Wiresjö, a guitarist who actually toured and performed with Larry Norman during the 1990s.Live Performances: The tribute has been featured at major European events, including an appearance at the Gullbranna festivalen in Sweden. Goal: To introduce Larry Norman's message and genre-defining storytelling to a modern audience.

Tomas Enochsson interprets Larry Norman – a tribute to an icon who shaped an entire
musical landscape

Sometime in the mid 70s Tomas Enochsson discovered the albums “In Another Land” and
“Only Visiting This Planet”. From then on Larry Norman’s lyrics have inspired and changed my song writing. Today I am more than thankful that he helped me dare using everyday words and expressions in my music to express my faith in Jesus. It is with great respect I have tried to interpret his songs and hopefully make them reach people who’ve never heard them before.

Although Tomas Enochsson may not be well-known to the general public, he is one of
Sweden's most experienced songwriters in Americana – a genre that has grown rapidly in both the US and Sweden.

After a short but intense period as the frontman of the eighties band Badmintons, he
disappeared from the spotlight, but never from music. He ran the music store Keyboard City, worked with the distribution and sales of Nord keyboards both nationally and globally, and at the same time continued to write songs.

For many years he has traveled to Nashville to write together with established songwriters,
and his music has been recorded by, among others, Totta Näslund and Björn Skifs. In recent years he has released several songs both digitally and on CD.

Now he is taking on Larry Norman's treasure trove of songs - in close collaboration with,
among others, Robban Wiresjö, who himself played with Norman during the 90s.

Larry Norman (1947–2008) was the pioneer who shaped modern Christian rock more than
anyone else. With a unique combination of rock expression and clear religious and social
messages, he was both acclaimed and controversial, and his influence extends far beyond his own generation.

With this project, Tomas Enochsson wants to carry on his legacy - and let a new audience
discover one of the most significant voices in Christian music.
