The project is a Christian Hard Rock/Metal album and features guest appearances by some of the best musicians in this genre such as Rex Carroll of WHITECROSS, Scott Foster Harris, formerly of LA GUNS, CJ Grimmark of the Swedish metal band NARNIA, Dale Thompson of BRIDE, Michael Roe of The 77s, and Nick Giannakos of the power metal band WRETCH.
The title track is a 13 minute mini rock opera which chronicles the events which resulted in The 70 Weeks of Daniel Prophecy, one of the most amazing prophecies in the Bible, which relates to the study of Eschatology, or the end times. The lyrics are taken directly from The Book of Daniel. Dustin Wray sings the part of Daniel, and Scott Foster Harris, formerly of L.A. Guns sings the part of the Angel Gabriel, while lead guitar duties are handled by one of the most prominent lead guitarists in all of Christian metal over the past 37 years, 2-time Dove Award winner, Rex Carroll of Whitecross.
CJ Grimmark of The Swedish Christian metal band Narnia shines on his guest appearance on the Phil Keaggy cover track "Getting Closer". CJ has played with other big names in the genre such as Rob Rock, Jerusalem, and Saviour Machine.
It's also interesting to note that Dustin actually collaborated with Phil Keaggy himself on his 2020 Raven Faith release "Don't Ask Me" on a track he wrote entitled "Back to Youngstown."
Dale Thompson of Bride appears on one of the 2025 remixes that were done for the album. He sang on the Stryper song "Free" back on Dustin's 2022 album "Freedom". It was given a more "metal" sounding overhaul to match the overall vibe of this release. It is also interesting to note that Thompson, as the lead singer of "Bride" was a contemporary of Stryper in the 80's and also served as a fill-in lead singer for the multi-platinum band at times.
This is the 2nd collaboration Dustin has made with Michael Roe of The 77s. Roe also appears on his 2015 album "It's Time," on an acoustic Dustin Wray original called "My Friend" that Roe also released on his 2016 live album "Gothic" as a bonus track. This collaboration is on another Dustin Wray original entitled "So Good Together".
Nick Giannakos of Wretch performs on a track that appeared on Dustin's 2022's "I'll Tell Ya Later" album but was totally remade for this release. "Never Going Back Again was overhauled with new vocals, new drums (played by Nick's former Wretch bandmate Evan Gottschalk), and a totally different ending which made the track a minute longer. A video released months before the album's release is nearing a half million views on YouTube. Nick also appears on another re-released track, "Ya Svoboden" a cover of a massive hit from Kipelov, one of the most popular metal bands in Russia. Dustin sings the song half in English and half in Russian.
Other highlights include the rockin' version of "Easy Livin' " that concludes with a 3-guitar Trans-Siberian Orchestra style ending and the final Boston-esque Bonus track "The Man He Wants Me To Be," a song that was penned by Wray, but the style of which was the brainchild of Producer Bill Yekel who worked on 2 tracks on the album.
This is an album any fan of Christian Rock or Metal is going to want to have in their collection!
