ABOUT THE ALBUM
Then there were three... Ted the drummer, known also for his Indian recorder, acoustic, lead, rhythm and bass guitar skills: Aaron, the lead, rhythm, slide and bass player, prone to dabble in the occasional vocal appearance; and Luke, the versatile vocalist. Produced by Bill Metoyer, this 16 track opus boasts some of the best material since, Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance. The skill all three band members demonstrate is stunning, no doubt due in part to Bill giving free reign whilst encouraging and enhancing what Tourniquet do well: thrashing hardcore progressive music at its best. Ted's classical influence is once again encouraged to come to the forefront, perhaps more so than on previous outings adding to both musical diversity and intensity. Lyrically, 'Crawl To China' - the band's fifth full length Studio project to date - is jam packed full of double entendres, witty analogies, and clever arrangements. From the dense sounding '"Going. Going...Gone", the light-hearted pop/rock of "Bats," to the bizarre progressive sounds of the title track and black humor of "The Tell Tale Heart," this is indeed a highly cherished gem from Christendom's finest progressive metal pioneers.
